A fair and objective ethical decision takes place when 'benefits along with burdens are distributed equally' among all the contributing members. <u>Ethics is associated with the set of moral principles that allows an individual to act with rightness, virtues, and justice.</u> It is associated with human conduct that perpetuates just and moral decisions that do not involve the ignorance of anyone's rights and preferring extra benefit to another. Therefore, such a decision considers the rights and duties equally for everyone and thus, the burdens(duties/problems), as well as benefits(rewards/rights), are divided equally. Thus, <u>option C</u> is the correct answer.
In the utilitarian approach, the most important thing is to make a choice that benefits most people. A problem that exists in this type of approach and that sometimes only people directly affected are considered and end up disregarding people indirectly affected. In my opinion, all people directly or indirectly affected should be taken into account. For example, a company that invents a stimulant for cows to produce more milk, providing greater production for farmers, however, cows often contract extremely painful diseases and the milk is contaminated, which indirectly harmed consumers.
Because in both Chinese and Taiwan culture their beliefs of honor and respect are important to them. Example: Respect for elders and loyalty toward the family are considered vital or mandatory. I’m not sure if this will help but I hope it does!
