Mayas is the group in Mesoamerica that started to develop large cities which included huge pyramids in period around 1500 b.c.e. Since this period, they have occupied the triangle of land located along Mexico, Caribbean Sea and the Pacific ocean.Early evidence suggesting that Mayas were builders of structures include Maya temples, carvings and inscriptions.A good example is The Heart of Tikal which was among the Classic Period cities contructed by Maya group.
