Rational that is an integer can be whole numbers and negative whole numbers
But, rationals include ALL fractions, which although includes all rational numbers, but includes other members like 1/2, 1/3 and so on

When you are doing fractions, all fractions can be Ratios, Percents, and decimals. So for example 3/4 is also 3:4, 75%, and .75. Integers are numbers that can be whole numbers if it isn't an integer then it isn't a whole number but there are different ways to find the answer to this problem. Sorry if this doesn't help.

The area of a rectangle is 256.5m.  If the length is 18m what is the perimeter of the rectangle?
irga5000 [103]
The area of a rectangle equals length times height. (A=LH)

A=256.5 L=18

Plugging in the numbers into the equation, you get 256.5=18H. (like I substituted the numbers in)

next if you divided both sides by 18, it will cancel out the 18 in the 18H side of the equation.

So, it is 256.5/18 equaling H

256.5 divided by 18 is... 14.25

That means the height is 14.25 an the length is 18.

the perimeter is all of the sides added together. in a rectangle, the sides opposite each other are the same.

So you have two sides that are 14.25 and two that are 18 meters long.

14.25+14.25+18+18 equals the perimeter then.

So the answer would be... 64.5!

What value of n makes the equation 4 (0.5n − 3) = n − 0.25 (12 − 8n) true?
astraxan [27]

Answer:Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

The value of n which makes the expression true is - 9

Given the expression : 4(0.5n-3)=n-0.25(12-8n)

The value of n which makes the expression true can be obtained by solving for n ;

4(0.5n-3)=n-0.25(12-8n)

Open the bracket :

2n - 12 = n - 3 + 2n

Collect like terms :

2n - 2n - n = - 3 + 12

-n = 9

Divide both sides by - 1 to isolate n

Hence ;

n = - 9

The value of n which makes the expression true is - 9

Indicate the correct test procedure and reasoning. A researcher wishes to determine whether listening to music affects students'
kondaur [170]

Answer:

Option B: Paired t-test, since there is a "with music" and "without music" score for each person.

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, we have 50 students where each student performed memory test once listening to the music and once without listening to music.

Now, it's obvious that the same set of people are used twice, i.e. once listening to music and second time without listening to music.

We cannot use pooled t test because we don't know about the standard deviation and it is also not a z test because population standard deviation is unknown.

Thus, this will be a case of paired t test or dependent t test because samples in both tests are dependent or same.

So, from the image i attached, the only option that corresponds with my explanation to use paired t-test is option B
