How do wind, ocean currents, bodies or water , and elevation affect climate patterns on the earth?
Eduardwww [97]
Wind patterns, ocean currents, proximity to large bodies of water (i.e. seas and oceans), and elevation all impact climate patterns through a variety of factors. These factors largely impact the flow of energy and heat from the sun across the Earth's surface through processes of convection. For example the "Jet Stream" in the United States is a wind pattern that carries air and weather patterns across the United States and its flow shifts directions depending on seasons. Another is the Gulf Stream which brings warm currents from the Caribbean and Central American up the American coast and out into the Atlantic ocean warming the temperatures of the coastal water ways and also impacting the climate of the land near it.

Explain the similarity between the earliest english and french voyages across the north atlantic in the late fifteenth and sixte
lana [24]

Answer:

They were often launched in the hopes of finding alternative sailing routes to Asia

Explanation:

Portugal was not the only country interested in the emerging lands of the northwest Atlantic. Both England and France were concerned to stake their claims as well, disputing the right of the Pope to divide the world between Spain and Portugal.

Like the Portuguese, they were interested in establishing the geography of the region, and were especially interested to find out whether a viable westerly route to Asia actually existed. This was the primary reason for those English voyages which took place after Cabot. By contrast, the French were as interested in the potential of the fisheries, and the other resources which the region had to offer and also trying to find an alternative route to Asia.

What is the biggest lesson from the Renaissance that we can apply to our time?
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Answer:

The most important and biggest lesson from renaissance is being relentlessly curious.

Explanation:

The renaissance can be described as a point in European history between 1400 and 1600 that was hugely characterized by intellectual and cultural movement that led to modern innovations of today's science and technology.

One of the major inventions during this period was the printing press.

The Renaissance is hugely seen as a time of transition from the ancient world to the modern.

This period of time to a great extent provided the foundation for the birth of the Age of Enlightenment, that is the times we are in now.

The act of being relentlessly curious during the era of renaissance led to them discovering and inventing so many thing that has been overly beneficial to the world.

I strongly believe that we can also apply the same level of curiossity and restlessness in today's world, as it will help us achieve so much.
