Anne Bradstreet suffered from poor health for much of her life. Read the poem "Deliverance from a Fit of Fainting," then answer

the question that follows.
"Deliverance from a Fit of Fainting"
by Anne Bradstreet

Worthy art Thou, O Lord, of praise,
But ah! It's not in me.
My sinking heart I pray Thee raise
So shall I give it Thee.
My life as spider's webb's cut off,
Thus fainting have I said,
And living man no more shall see
But be in silence laid.

My feeble spirit Thou didst revive,
My doubting Thou didst chide,
And though as dead mad'st me alive,
I here a while might 'bide.

Why should I live but to Thy praise?
My life is hid with Thee.
O Lord, no longer be my days
Than I may fruitful be.

Anne Bradstreet (1612–1672)

In the first stanza, what is the author's request of God?
A. to cure her sickness so that she can live longer
B. to lift her spirits so that she can praise God
C. to hide her condition from those around her
D. to end the fainting spells that trouble her

The correct option is B.
In the first stanza, the author prayed like this: 'My sinking heart I pray thee raise, so shall give it thee. What the author was praying for in essence is that God should raise her sinking heart, so that she can praise Him. That is, she was asking God to lift her spirit so that she can give him praise.

Tell which words and phrases stand out in the description of the horse. What do these words suggest about the narrators view of
strojnjashka [21]

Answer:

1. The words and phrases include;

Statue,

engraving,

line and form and white stain on a green background,

pride, prestige, and art incarnate in animal flesh,

a picture of burning beauty and virile freedom,

ideal, pure, and invincible,

arrogant ruler of the countryside

2. These words suggest that the narrator was fascinated, excited, and awed by the horse.

Explanation:

In "My Wonder Horse," by Sabine Ulibarri, the author described the time at age fifteen when he saw the Wonder Horse which he had always thought about and he was truly marveled at the sight of the horse.

He used many words of praises and adulation to describe the horse. For example, he described it as pride, prestige, and art incarnate in animal flesh. He adored the horse.

How does an essay writer form an effective claim
Brut [27]

Answer: A claim defines your writing goals. It must be arguable but stated as a fact. It is not a personal opinion.  It must be debatable with inquiry and evidence

Hope that helps. :)

Read the excerpt from Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll.
Karolina [17]

Answer:

I believe the answer is 3. They show that Alice wants to please the Red Queen.

Explanation:

The answer can not be 2, because Alice is the one attempting to bring it back I believe, but the Red Queen is the one declining and wanting it away. It can not be 4, because nowhere in the paragraphs read did she mention leaving, it was only about the pudding mainly. The answers you would mainly be stuck with I believe is 1 and 3, Alice is not forcing anything onto herself nor' the Red Queen though I believe, so I would not say she wants to be in control of her life. So it mainly leads down to option/choice 3. Alice wants to please the Red Queen with the pudding. (?)
