I haven't done this in a while, but I'm pretty sure the answer is D, (-3, -1.)

If you were to substitute x for -3 and y for -1 in the first inequalities and simplify, it would look like this:

-1 > -3-2

-1 > - 5

And that inequality is true, because -1 is bigger than -5. Let's also substitute in the other inequality, which would be:

-1 > 2(-3) + 2

-1 > -6 + 2

-1 > -4

And -1 is bigger than -4. So, I think the answer would be D because substituting for those values of x and y would stil. make the inequalities true.

The vertex of the graph of y = -4(x + 3)2 + 2 is
aleksley [76]

Answer:

(-3,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

This equation is written in vertex from

y = -4(x + 3)2 + 2

Vertex from is

y = a(x - h)2 + k, where vertex is (h,k).

We can rewrite our equation

y = -4(x - (- 3))2 + 2.

So vertex is (-3,2)

Answer:

h(5) = 15

Step-by-step explanation:

h(x) = -2 + 5

h(5) = -2(5) + 5(5)

h(5) = -10 + 25

h(5) = 15

Express sin A,cos A and tan A as ratios
OverLord2011 [107]

Answer:

Part A) sin(A)=\frac{2\sqrt{42}}{23}

Part B) cos(A)=\frac{19}{23}

Part C) tan(A)=\frac{2\sqrt{42}}{19}

Step-by-step explanation:

Part A) we know that

In the right triangle ABC of the figure the sine of angle A is equal to divide the opposite side angle A by the hypotenuse

so

sin(A)=\frac{BC}{AB}

substitute the values

sin(A)=\frac{2\sqrt{42}}{23}

Part B) we know that

In the right triangle ABC of the figure the cosine of angle A is equal to divide the adjacent side angle A by the hypotenuse

so

cos(A)=\frac{AC}{AB}

substitute the values

cos(A)=\frac{19}{23}

Part C) we know that

In the right triangle ABC of the figure the tangent of angle A is equal to divide the opposite side angle A by the adjacent side angle A

so

tan(A)=\frac{BC}{AC}

substitute the values

tan(A)=\frac{2\sqrt{42}}{19}
