----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Find total number of integers
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Number of integers from 1 to 100 = 100
There are 100 numbers altogether

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Find total numbers that can be divided by 2
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Number that are multiples of 2 = 100 ÷ 2 = 50
50 of the number are multiples of 2

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Find total numbers that are multiples of 3
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Numbers that are multiples of 3 = 100 ÷ 3 = 33 R 1
33 of the numbers are multiples of 3

Of the 33 numbers that are multiples of 3, half of the numbers are even and had been included in multiples of 2.
33 ÷ 2 = 16 R 1

33 - 16 = 17
17 of the numbers are multiples of 3

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total numbers that can be multiples of 2 or 3
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
50 + 17 = 67

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total number that are neither multiples of 2 nor 3
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
100 - 67 = 33

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ans: 33 integers are neither multiples of 2 nor multiples 3

Suppose P(A) = 0.9, P(B) = 0.3, and P(B|A) = 0.2. What is P(A|B) ?
Elenna [48]

By definition of conditional probability,

P(B\mid A)=\dfrac{P(B\cap A)}{P(A)}\implies P(B\cap A)=0.2\cdot0.9=0.18

Similarly,

P(A\mid B)=\dfrac{P(A\cap B)}{P(B)}=\dfrac{0.18}{0.3}=0.6

Which of the following expressions is equivalent to (8x)^2/3 ?
miv72 [106K]

Answer:

4x^2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the expression (8x)^2/3

This can also be expressed as;

(8x)^2/3

= (2^3x)^2/3

= (2³)^2/3 * x^2/3

= 2^2 * x^2/3

= 4x^2/3

Hence the equivalent expression is 4x^2/3

Solve the equation 4(x – 2) = 3x + 1. Question 15 options: A) 3 B) 8 C) 9 D) 2
telo118 [61]

Answer:

x = 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Write equation

4(x - 2) = 3x + 1

Step 2: Solve for x

 1. Distribute 4: 4x - 8 = 3x + 1
 2. Subtract 3x on both sides: x - 8 = 1
 3. Add 8 to both sides: x = 9

Step 3: Check

Plug in x to verify it's a solution.

 1. Substitute: 4(9 - 2) = 3(9) + 1
 2. Parenthesis (add): 4(7) = 3(9) + 1
 3. Multiply: 28 = 27 + 1
 4. Add: 28 = 28
