So we have\frac{ \frac{1}{b^{2}} }{ \frac{a}{b^{2}} }

multiply by \frac{ \frac{b^{2}}{a} }{ \frac{b^{2}}{a} } to make bottom number 1
\frac{ \frac{b^{2}}{ab^{2}} }{ \frac{ab^{2}}{ab^{2}} }=\frac{ \frac{b^{2}}{ab^{2}} }{1}=\frac{b^{2}}{ab^{2}} = \frac{1}{a}

Use this formula to solve your question:

\frac{a}{b} \div  \frac{c}{d} = \frac{a}{b} \times  \frac{d}{c} =\frac{ad}{bc}

\frac{1}{b^2} \div  \frac{a}{b^2} = \frac{1}{b^2} \times  \frac{b^2}{a} =  \frac{b^2}{b^2 \times a} =\boxed{\bf{\frac{1}{a}}}

Your final answer is 1/a.

Find the degree and leading coefficient of the polynomial.<br> -12+18x^4+15x^3+16x^2
Lostsunrise [7]

Answer:

  • degree 4
  • leading coefficient 18

Step-by-step explanation:

The degrees of the terms in the order they are written (exponent of the variable) are: 0, 4, 3, 2.

The highest degree is that of the second term, so that is the degree of the polynomial, 4.

The leading coefficient is the coefficient of that term: 18.

|3w + 4| = 6w + 1 (absolute value equations. With work to explain it please..
sergiy2304 [10]

Answer:

w= 1 and w= -5/9

Step-by-step explanation:

Because you have an absolute value that means that there are 2 possibilities

either (3x +4) is positive or negative. Will work each case and that will give us the answers.

If (3x+4) is positive we have the equation

3w+ 4 = 6w +1 , subtract 3w from both sides

       4 = 6w-3w+1, subtract 1 from both sides

    4-1 = 6w-3w, combine like terms

      3 = 3w , divide both sides by 3

      1 = w

If (3x+4) is negative we have the equation

-(3w+ 4) = 6w +1 , distribute the negative sign in parentheses

  -3w -4 = 6w +1, add 3w and subtract 1 from both sides of the equation

      -4 -1 = 6w +3w, combine like terms

          -5 = 9w , divide both sides by 9

    (-5/9) = w
