Answer:

Land prices rose and more land became available to settlers. Copper mining developed as new technologies emerged and transportation improved to bring the copper to market. The lumbering business grew as a result of increasing populations in towns needing more lumber to build homes. Consequently, sawmills and logging railroads increased to produce railroad ties, timbers, and bridges. Farming for cash crops expanded. An example of the new economy can be seen in the Aztec Land & Cattle, which was owned by the railroad and shipped 40,000 head per year by 1900

PLS HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where and how did the Umayyads expand Islam?
katrin [286]
The Umayyads were the first Muslim dynasty—that is, they were the first rulers of the Islamic Empire to pass down power within their family. Under their rule, which lasted from 661 to 750 AD, the early Islamic community was transformed into the most powerful empire of the day. In many ways, the Umayyads defined how an Islamic Empire would be ruled. Nonetheless, their lack of descent from Muhammad, their controversial practice of handing down power from father to son, and their mistreatment of non-Arab Muslims made them a controversial dynasty, a topic of debate among Muslims even to this day, and ultimately led to their fall.
