I would first order them from least to greatest State A 21 22 22 23 23 23 24 24 25 State B 20 20 21 22 23 23 24 46 50. now analyze data State A find the 'middle' value, that is your median if you have odd number of terms , it is exact middle. if even number of terms, then take average of two adjacent middle terms. 21 22 22 23 23 23 24 24 25 median is 23 median of lower half is Q2 21 22 22 23 , median is (22 + 22) /2 = 22 median of upper half is Q3 Five point summary of state A minimum : 21 Q1 : 22 median: 23 Q3: 24 maximum 25 IQR = 2 Five point summary of state B minimum : 20 Q1 : 20 median: 22 Q3: 35 maximum 50 IQR = 15

Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

P(red) = .3

P(yellow) = .3

75 cubes in the box

Step-by-step explanation:

The probability has to add to 1

Since the number of red cubes equals the number of yellow cubes the probability has to be the same

.4 + x+x = 1

.4 +2x = 1

2x = 1-.4

2x = .6

Divide by 2

x = .6/2

x = .3

P(red) = .3

P(yellow) = .3

We know that

P(blue) = .4 = number of blue cubes/ total number of cubes

                 .4 = 30/total

                  total = 30/.4

                   total = 75

HELP !!!! can someone help me please how can i use the vertex formula to find this equation for this graph ?
DedPeter [7]
Based on that table of values, we know the highest point(vertex) is at 0.9, 5.9

we can also use just one another point... say 1.4, 4.6

\bf \qquad \textit{parabola vertex form}\\\\
\begin{array}{llll}
y=a(x-{{ h}})^2+{{ k}}
\end{array} \qquad\qquad  vertex\ ({{ h}},{{ k}})\\\\
-------------------------------\\\\

\bf \begin{cases}
h=0.9\\
k=5.9
\end{cases}\implies y=a(x-0.9)^2+5.9
\\\\\\
\begin{cases}
\textit{another point}\\
x=1.4\\
y=4.6
\end{cases}\implies 4.6=a(1.4-0.9)^2+5.9
\\\\\\
4.6=a(0.5)^2+5.9\implies 4.6-5.9=a(0.5)^2\implies -1.3=a(0.5)^2
\\\\\\
\cfrac{-1.3}{0.5^2}=a\implies -5.2=a
\\\\\\
thus\qquad \qquad \boxed{y=-5.2(x-0.9)^2+5.9}
