Theodore Roosevelt was the greatest president because as a leader of the Progressive Party, he brought about much-needed social,

political, and economic reform. He broke up many large business trusts. He took economic power out of the hands of the wealthy and powerful corporations and placed it in the hands of the ordinary people. Theodore Roosevelt’s reform policies, known as the Square Deal, helped to give the average citizen an equal share of opportunities. A writer could improve this draft by adding opinions about Roosevelt. adding statistics about economic power. shortening the length of the paragraph. adding strong transitions.

adding statistics about economic power

This author makes their opinion clear, and supports that claim (that Roosevelt was the greatest president) by giving examples of things that he did. In order to improve their argument though, they should add actual statistics about what Roosevelt did. Using statistics would prove their point that these things actually worked and improved the economy.

Answer:

The whole plot of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is that the main character has weird flashbacks to past events or dreams. The reader or viewer is never sure whether the scene is real or imagined due to the spontaneity of these reflections/flashbacks. It makes for an interesting movie and an interesting story when these responses are elaborately fantasized, as Thurber did.
