These four theories, though still not conclusive, or absolutely accepted as the ones that would explain the appearance and evolution of the Homo Sapiens species, also known as the modern human, still revolve around a possible initiation of the species either in Africa, from it, or somehwere in Eurasia. They also look at the possibility that there might have been a single place of origin and a later migration towards regions of Europe, Asia, and later on Australia and the Americas. Finally, they study the possiblity of interbreeding, assimilation, and hybridization between the Homo Sapiens and other hominin species, all from DNA information and studying of the skeletons, and tools, that have been found in fossil sites.
