A rectangular shaped playground has length of 100m and width 80m. A pathway is constructed around the garden with a uniform width of 1m. Find the area of the pathway. (Draw the diagram and show the work.)

we know that the area of rectangular shaped playground is--> 80*100=8000 m²

the area of the pathway=[(100+2)*(80+2)]-[80*100]=8364-8000=364 m²

the answer is 364 m²
