Sociology broadens your own view of other peoples needs and contexts. It helps you understand theories on collective action,group interactions,etc.

Explanation:

As a student of sociology you need to learn to distinguis a moral judgement from an objective fact. By doing so you also learn to establish certain criteria when analyzing the collective action of a group of persons. Then you can understand that only actions that are social are of value to the study of sociology. To identify the scope of what is a theory in sociology and what are you personal and own bias is a key ability you need.

There fore taking a course on sociology makes you more aware of other people historical contexts, the reasons why the act the way the do, and to what extent some social interactions will probably take place or will not.

Think of sociology as the study of groups, and the interactions that take between and within them. When you experience everyday life you will be able to put your own happenings into the context of your class, your neighbourhood, nation, etc. Then you can have distinct levels for a single topic that always relates to you.

A lack of patriotism and a contrast between rich and poor were the hallmarks of empires, and their subjects were distrusting of them. A decrease in population was also caused by disease  and famine.
