The important characters in the carriage in "Because I could not stop for Death" are the speaker and Death. While Death is not a person, it is personified as a character in this poem, and is able to perform human actions, such as stopping a carriage. It could be argued that Immortality is also a character in the carriage, but it is only mentioned once at the beginning of the poem, and can be read as a state of being, rather than a character.

He does that to show more expression in his stories. it is what all or most writers do to grab the readers attention. a writer doesn't want their readers to fall asleep and then get a bad review. if Edgar gets more and more anxiety in his story it will keep you wondering.

Read the excerpt from Thoughts and Sentiments.
dusya [7]

Answer: Cugoano makes references to his Christian faith, while Sancho stays away from the topic of religion altogether.

Explanation:

Cugoano's purpose differs from the purpose of Sancho's as Cugoano makes references to his Christian faith, while Sancho stays away from the topic of religion altogether.

This can be seen from the excerpt as it was written that something else ought yet to be done which is the

incumbent duty of all men of enlightened understanding, and every man that claimed to be a Christian.
