To answer this item, we let x be the number that is not unknown in this item such that the situation in this problem can be expressed as follows,

    x - 9.3 = 68.91

Adding 9.3 to both sides of the equation,
   x - 9.3 + 9.3 = 68.91 + 9.3

Simplifying,
   x = 78.21

The answer to this item is 78.21, this I think is the first choice except that it is mistakenly written as 7.21 only.

Why would you find airlines flying over stratosphere?
cluponka [151]

there are fewer clouds in this layer, making Commercial jet aircraft fly in the lower stratosphere to avoid the turbulence which is common in the troposphere below. The stratosphere is very dry; air there contains little water vapor. Because of this, few clouds are found in this layer; almost all clouds occur in the lower, more humid troposphere. a much smoother ride overall.airplanes fly in the stratosphere is because this is where the least amount of turbulence is found.

What is the same and different about continental crust and ocean crust
olga55 [171]
Layers that are less dense, such as the crust, float on layers that are denser, such as the mantle. Both oceanic crust and continental crust are less dense than the mantle, but oceanic crust is denser than continental crust. This is partly why the continents are at a higher elevation than the ocean floor.

Which scale has 12 levels of intensity? which scale is most useful for earthquakes of all sizes and distances? which scale is go
juin [17]

The Mercalli Intensity Scale has twelve levels of intensity. The Richter scale is most useful for earthquakes of all sizes and distances. The magnitude scale is good for small, nearby earthquakes because it doesn't have any upper limit. The magnitude scale takes into account the movement of rocks along fault lines. The Richter scale rates the earthquakes based on the amount of disruption they cause.

Charles F. Richter created the Richter scale in 1934, which became the first commonly used technique. It made use of a formula based on the distance between the earthquake and the seismometer and the amplitude of the greatest wave recorded on a particular kind of seismometer. It measures earthquakes ranging in magnitude from one to ten.

Giuseppe Mercalli created the Mercalli intensity scale in 1902. In contrast to seismic magnitude scales, which measure the earthquake's inherent energy or intensity, it evaluates the impacts of an earthquake at a specific site. It has 12 levels of intensity.
