Models are central to what scientists do. It helps them visualize something easier. Just like visualizing an atom as a big model is easier than examining one for real! It also provides an easier way of explaining something complex. Usually use models to show systems that are too small. Or, for example, planets are too big, scientists use models to better visualize and explain them.

Potential and kinetic energy.
Potential energy is the storage of energy, kinetic is the usage.
3. What are the different forms of potential and kinetic energy?
Chemical, nuclear, gravitational, or mechanical. Kinetic energy is found in movement, an airplane flying or meteorite hitting the Earth are examples of where kinetic energy is found.

Through the action of forces.
5. How can we trace the transformation of energy through living and nonliving systems?
There has to be a footprint or energy source (also known as a condenser). You need to study each block chain carefully to see how the energy is passed.

The scientific method helps you focus your investigation(s) and makes it easier to communicate your result(s) because of the way it is organized. It is made in a fashion so that people who read your report or experiment can recreate it themselves.
