The answer is C

Environmental DNA (eDNA) surveillance

Environmental DNA (eDNA) refers to DNA that can be extracted from environmental samples, such as water, soil or faeces, without first isolating any target organisms. It can also result from the decomposition of dead organisms. All living organisms, regardless of their size or ecology, leave traces of DNA in their environments, reflecting their current or past presence. eDNA is characterized by a complex mixture of nuclear, mitochondrial or chloroplast DNA, and can be intracellular (from living cells) or extracellular. It enables the detection of a species regardless of its life stage or gender. This technology has the potential to eliminate the need to capture or visually detect a target species, making it a particularly attractive alternative as a stand-alone assay for organisms that are hard to capture, difficult to collect, or that have small populations.

Draw a cartoon strip or write an article to summarise the greenhouse effect and how it can lead to global warming. Include the f
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

The greenhouse effect is an essential phenomenon for life on earth. However, human activities such as pollution and burning of fossil fuels have caused an intensification of this effect, which has harmed the atmosphere and is directly related to global warming.

The greenhouse effect is formed by a layer of atmospheric gases that settle around the planet and allows a temperature suitable for life to reach the earth's surface. Therefore, we can guarantee that this effect is essential for our survival. It is necessary that the amount of these gases is kept in equilibrium for this temperature to be constant.

However, the burning of fossil fuels, industrial activities, pollution (caused by vehicles, aerosols, fires, among others), the use of non-renewable energy releases greenhouse gases into the atmosphere daily and in large quantities.

This causes the layer of greenhouse gases that circulates the earth to become more and more expanded, not being able to disperse solar radiation easily and causing an increasing temperature. All that heat is retained in the atmosphere, thus generating global warming, which allows the planet's temperature and ocean water to increase dramatically, which can cause various harmful effects to life on the planet.

For this reason, it is necessary to carry out public policies that reduce pollution and encourage the use of clean and renewable energy that does not increase the layer of greenhouse cases, promoting well-being and life on earth.

In what way do the nervous and endocrine systems differ in a way
Simora [160]

The nervous system communicates through electrical impulses and the communication is very fast. It works in a relay fashion, from point to point comparable to the way the old telephones systems used to work.

The endocrine system communicates by chemical signals via the bloodstream. Hormones are secreted into the blood and extra cellular fluids, then transported to target cells, which must bear a receptor to be able to bind to a specific hormone, and respond.

Hormones are chemical messengers secreted into blood or extracellular fluid that affect the function of other cells.

Endocrine communication is not quite as fast as the nervous system communication

Which of the following occurs during photosynthesis?
Ludmilka [50]
Photosynthesis is when plants turn light from the sun into food (energy). The light from the sun is turned into energy by using chlorophyll. Chlorophyll absorbs blue and red light to turn Co2 and H2o into glucose.
