This means that we have to didvide the 12 inches wide side into 3 parts: one of 3.5 inches, and two other, of equal size (the margins).

the margins together will have (12-3.5=8,5) inches, which means that each of them will hace half of this: so we have to divide 8.5 into 2.

this is: :

8.5/2=4.25

so he has to to put it 4.25 inches from each side.

amid [387]

Answer:

It costs $15 a month to play the video game.

The initial cost is $45.

The y-variable represents the cost in dollars.

The x-variable represents the number of months.

Step-by-step explanation:

If you break the function down, you're going to have:

Total = Monthly Cost + Initial Cost

In this case, 15x is your monthly cost, as you can think of x as the number of months meaning:

 • 15 for the first month (x = 1)
 • 30 for the second month (x = 2)
 • 45 for the third month (x = 3), and so on

Our initial cost is always going to be a set amount, thus our constant, $45.

This leaves y as our total, which makes sense, as it's all alone on one side of the equation, where as all the costs are bunched together on the right side.

Hope this helps!
