One of the major ethical concerns would be the well being of the rats used for experimentation. Upon receiving the cancerous cells, the rats could die. If the new drug ends up not working, it could cause the animals to suffer side effects before dying. This issue could be solved by conducting the research on tissue samples in the lab, rather than on animals.
