Answer:

(x_{2}-x_{1} ) ^{2} \geq 0 , always\\(y_{2}-y_{1} ) ^{2} \geq 0 , always\\so, \\\sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1} ) ^{2} +(y_{2}-y\\_{1} ) ^{2} } \geq 0, always

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello, I can help you with this. I like this kind of questions.

Step one

Let's remember the formula

Let

P1(x_{1}, y_{1})\\P2(x_{2}, y_{2})\\

the distance between P1 and P2 is given by:

Distance=\sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1}) ^{2}+(y_{2}-y_{1})^{2}  }

as you can see, the terms are powered to 2, so it does not matter the sign, it always will be  positive

(x_{2}-x_{1} ) ^{2} \geq 0 , always\\(y_{2}-y_{1} ) ^{2} \geq 0 , always\\so, \\\sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1} ) ^{2} +(y_{2}-y\\_{1} ) ^{2} } \geq 0, always

I really hope it helps, have a nice day

Since the distance formula is square rooted, one of the number one things that will never ever happen in math... the square root a negative number. Try it in your calculator it will say ERROR.

I scream for ice cream sells specialty ice cream in three flavors: rocky road, peanut butter, and fruity tooty. it sold 17,0
oksian1 [2.3K]
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Find Sales Price of 5 gallons of ice-cream:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Sales price of Fruity Tooty = $6.00
Sales price of Peanut Butter = $5 x 2 = $10.00
Sales price of Rocky Road = $5.25 x 2 = $10.50
Total Sales Per 5 gallon = $6 + $10 + $10.50 = $26.50

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Find Variable Cost of 5 gallons of ice-cream:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Variable Cost of Fruit Tooty = $5.25
Variable Cost of Peanut Butter = $4.50 x 2 = $9.00
Variable Cost of Rocky Road = $4 x 2 = $8.00
Total Variable Coast = $5.25 + $9 + $8 = $22.25

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Fixed Cost Given:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Fixed Cost = $7500

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Define x:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Let x be the number of 5 gallons that need to be sold to breakeven:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Find x:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
26.50x = 7500 + 22.25x

26.50x - 22.25x = 7500

4.25x = 7500

x = 7500 ÷ 4.25

x = 1764.7 (Nearest tenth)

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Find the number of gallons of ice-cream needed:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Total number of 5 gallons needed = 1764.7

Total gallons needed = 1764.7 x 5 =8823.5

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer: I sceam needs to sell 8823.5 gallons of ice cream to break even.

Samantha and Luis are attempting to determine the average number of library books that seventh-grade students check out at one t
BartSMP [9]
Luis’ sample would be the most random, because not everyone in the cafeteria might check out books from the library, but since everyone Samantha surveyed was in the library already, most of the people she surveyed would be more consistent in their responses.

Find the value of x.<br> A) 55<br> B) 60<br> C) 70<br> D) 125
Anna11 [10]

Answer:

x = 70°

Step-by-step explanation:

The given triangle has 2 equal sides and is therefore isosceles.

The base angles are equal, both 55°

To find x subtract the sum of the 2 angles from 180

x = 180° - (55 + 55)° = 180° - 110° = 70°
