The given difference of two numbers which we have to estimate is

  920,026-535,722

Actual Difference=384,304

→Estimation Using Ones

 920,030-535,720=384,310

→Estimation Using Tens

 920,000-535,700=384,300

Estimation using Tens is Closer to Actual Difference.

So, Answer=384,300

MATH HELP PLEASE! ( please show all work)
natita [175]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Sin(42) = n/21

n = 21 * sin(42)

n = 21 *  0.6691

n = 14.052

Cos(42) = m / 21

21 * cos(42) = m

m = 21 * 0.7431

m = 15,61

Theta + 42 = 90

Theta = 90 - 42

Theta = 48

Solve the equation: 1/2n - 3 = 5
Liula [17]

Answer:

n=16

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's solve your equation step-by-step.

1/ 2 n−3=5

Step 1: Add 3 to both sides.

1/ 2 n−3+3=5+3

1/ 2 n=8

Step 2: Multiply both sides by 2.

2*( 1/ 2 n)=(2)*(8)

n=16

n=16

Consider parallelogram ABCD with vertices at A(−10,6), B(−5.5,26), C(9.5,18), and D(5,−2). What is the perimeter, in units, of p
monitta

Given vertices of parallelogram ABCD:

A(−10,6), B(−5.5,26), C(9.5,18), and D(5,−2).

<u>Length of AB is :</u>

=\sqrt{\left(-5.5-\left(-10\right)\right)^2+\left(26-6\right)^2}= 20.5.

<u>Length of BC is : </u>

=\sqrt{\left(9.5-\left(-5.5\right)\right)^2+\left(18-26\right)^2} =17.

Note, opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal.

Therefore,

<em>Perimeter of parallelogram ABCD = 2 × Length of AB + 2 × Length of BC.</em>

Perimeter = 2 × 20.5 + 2 × 17

                 = 41 + 34

                 = 75 units.

<h3>Therefore, the perimeter of parallelogram ABCD is 75 units.</h3>

A dog owner observes that from birth to age 14 weeks, the puppy’s weight can be modelled by the equation w=365×(1.23)t , for (0≤
Fantom [35]

Answer and Step-by-step explanation:

(1) Scale factor is a constant value that multiplies another value. For a puppy's weight, scale factor is 1.23.

The percentage growth is

1.23 = 1 + 0.23

Percentage is 0.23 or 23%.

(2) Equation for increase is

w=365(1.23)^{t}

When w = 4000g:

4000=365(1.23)^{t}

(1.23)^{t}=\frac{4000}{365}

1.23^{t}=10.96

Using the log law:

log_{b} (M^{k}) = klog_{b}(M)

log(1.23^{t})=log(10.96)

t.log(1.23) = log(10.96)

0.08990t = log(10.96)

t=\frac{log10.96}{0.08990}

t = 11.56

The puppy will weigh 4000 grams in 11 and half weeks or between 11 and 12 weeks.
