Part 1)
<span>sin(x+22)°=cos(2x−7)°

we know that
</span>

 the  sine and cosine  are co-functions

So

sin (theta) = cos (90 - theta)------> This implies that  the angles sum to 90°

therefore

( x + 22)  + (2x - 7)  =  90    simplify

3x + 15  = 90     subtract  15 from both sides

3x  =  75      divide both sides by 3

x  = 25

 The answer Part 1) is x=25°

 Part 2) Given cos x=12/13 and sin x =5/13

What is ratio for  tanx  ?

 we know that

tan x = sinx / cos x

tan x  =   (5/13) / (12/13)   =  (5/13) * (13/12)  =  <span>5/12</span>

the answer Part 2) is 5/12

For a sample of n = 30 scores, X = 45 corresponds to z = 1.50 and X = 40 corresponds to z = +1.00. What are the values for the s
Ber [7]

Answer:

Sample mean = 30

Standard deviation = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

A system with two linear equations can be modeled with the information given in order to find the sample mean (M) and the standard deviation (s):

z=\frac{X-M}{s}\\\\1.50=\frac{45-M}{s} \\1.00=\frac{40-M}{s}

Solving the linear system:

40-M = \frac{45-M}{1.5}\\M=\frac{15}{0.5}\\M=30\\\\s=\frac{45-30}{1.5}\\s=10

The sample mean is 30 while the standard deviation is 10.

How many mEq of KCI will the patient receive in 24 hours?
Brilliant_brown [7]
10% = 10g/100ml. Ergo, 15ml/100ml (10g) = 1500mg of KCL
.9% NACL = 9g/1000mL, Ergo = 9000mg NaCl
Now we have to figure out how many mEqs of each salt we have.
MW of NaCl = 58.5
MW of KCl = 74.5
So, in moles, we have:
1500 KCl / 74.5 = 20.13 mmol KCl
9000 NaCl / 58.5 = 153.85mmol NaCl
Because the valence of both ions is one, as an example, it would be both 20.13 mEq of Cl- and K+ from 20.13 mmoles of KCL.
So, just add the two together, 20.13 + 153.85 = 174-ish.

(01.02 LC) Ben scored in the 85th percentile of his class on the latest math exam. What does this mean in relation to the data s
Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the data on the result of math exam in Ben's class

{35,42,56,68,69,72,72,77,78,78,82,85,87,88,90,93,94,96,96,99}

The 85th percentile score represents the score in which 85 percent of the students in Ben's class or below obtained in the test.

The 85th percentile score :

85%(n+ 1) term

n = number of observations = 20

0.85(20 + 1)th term

0.85(21) = 17.85 term

Take the average of the 17th and 18th terms

(94 + 96) / 2

= 190 / 2

= 95
