Answer: The correct answer is-

1) Neurons transmit signals to the central nervous system.

2) This can be accomplished when two neurons communicate with each other through the synapse.

3) The neurotransmitter ( that acts as a chemical messenger) is released at the site to initiate action potential and carry the signal through the body.

4) The brain processes this information to initiate a response.

Neurons ( functional unit of nervous system) transmit signals to the brain in the form of electrical impulses. This is done through neural communication, which takes place between two neurons through a chemical messenger ( called neurotransmitter) that is released at synapse ( space between two neurons) by axon terminals ( ending of neuron). Action potential is triggered by neurotransmitter, which carries the signal throughout the body. When the signals reach brain, the information is processed so as to generate an appropriate response.

Hello, Boolinjennipa1afd. Neurons communicate with the cells that they are controlled by releasing chemicals, called neurotransmitters, at a synapse. Your answers would be - two neurons communicate with each other through the synapse (the site of the functional connection). The other answer would be - The neurotransmitter is released at the site to initiate action potential and carry the signal through the body. The neurotransmitter molecules then diffuse a very short distance to the cell being controlled, where they have a specific effect. If you have any more questions then feel free to let me know. Have a great day!!

Which is a feature of a tonic receptor? Select one: a. The action potential occurs when there is a change in response to a chang
Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

For this receptor, the stimulus begins with an explosion of action potentials.

that would be the correct option.

Explanation:

A tonic receptor is one that is activated when the action potentials were maintained over time and during the signaling of the receptor.

Tone receptors require continuous stimulation over a period of time to trigger a response and deliver it to the central nervous system.

It keeps the nervous system constantly active in the environment that surrounds it.

They are slowly adaptable, an example of these receptors are the merkel and ruffini receptors.

Which listed transfusion reaction is most often associated with transfused patient's lacking iga?
IgorC [24]
The most common transfusion reaction, especially in patients lacking either IgA especially serum IgA, is the development of potentially severe hypersensitivity reactions or anaphylaxis. The most probable culprit is the presence of IgA in the transfused blood, because since the individual lacks IgA, then the IgA in the transfused blood is considered a foreign body triggering an allergic response.

Although macroscopic observations of microbial growth can provide much valuable information, microbiologists often follow such o
melisa1 [442]

Answer:

Explanation:

As a microbiologist there are different methods are devised for characterization of microbes.such as Macroscopic analysis and microscopy method.

With the help of microscope the needed information about the individual cell such as individual cellular characteristics can be obtained, the magnification help to provide the features such as size, shape and motility of the microbes which helps to know the specific microbes characters.

When handling an unknown environmental microbe, with help of the cell characteristics of the microbes obtained using the microscope, the identity as well as metabolic characterization can be known such as the type of environment the microbes can survive in(aerobic or anaerobic), the source of food.

No growth was observed on the control plate.

The growth on the control plate indicates that the aseptic technique devised in the model was an adequate method for the prevention of the control plate from been contaminated.
