If f(x)3(=- Vx-3, complete the following statement:x + 2f(19) ==Answer here
Digiron [165]
Explanation

This exercise is about evaluating a function at a particular argument. To do that, we replace the variable with the argument in the formula of the function, and simplify.

Let's do that:

\begin{gathered} f(19)=\frac{3}{19+2}-\sqrt[]{19-3}, \\  \\ f(19)=\frac{3}{21}-\sqrt[]{16}, \\  \\ f(19)=\frac{1}{7}-4, \\  \\ f(19)=\frac{1-28}{7}, \\  \\ f(19)=-\frac{27}{7}\text{.} \end{gathered}Answerf(19)=-\frac{27}{7}\text{.}

a pack rat has 130 piglets and 110 books. She wants to maintain this ratio in her collection but needs to sell some of her items
bija089 [108]

The number of items she should sell from her collection is 24

<h3>How to determine the number of items she should sell from her collection?</h3>

From the question, we have the following parameters that can be used in our computation:

Ratio = Piglets : Books

For 130 piglets and 110 books, we have the following representations

Ratio = 130 : 110

Also, for 13 piglets, we have the following representations

Ratio = 13 : Books

Using the above as a guide, we have the following:

13 : Books = 130 : 110

This can also be rewritten as

Books : 13 = 110 : 130

Multiply the second ratio by 1/10

So. we have

Books : 13 = 11 : 13

By comparison, we have

Books = 11

So, the total items sold is

Items = 11 books + 13 piglets

Evaluate

Items = 24 items

Hence, the number of items is 24

Please please help me, I don’t understand at all, I will truly appreciate it! Thank you
guapka [62]
The answer is A.

y = x^2 + 2 simply means that y is whatever x is to the second power, plus 2. so, -2^2 = 4. 4 + 2 = 6.

you can work this through the other options but A is the answer.
