For the first one, you can use the following "table"
1st week: $500. 200
2nd week : 500 - 20 = $480. 200 + 15 = $215
3rd week : 480 - 20 = $460. 215 + 15 = $230
4th week: 460 - 20 = $440. 230 + 15 = $245
5th week: 440 - 20 = $420. 245 + 15 = $260
6th week: 420 - 20 = $400. 260 + 15 = $275
7th week: 400 - 20 = $380. 275 + 15 = $290
8th week: 380 - 20 = $360. 290 + 15 = $305
9th week: 360 - 20 = $340. 305 + 15 = $320
10th week: 340 - 20 = $320 320 + 15 = $335
Hope this helps!!!

I'll have Martin as X and Melvin as Y.

So the equation for X is, 15(starting point) and +5 every set.

Here's a table
________________
The amount of sets|Lbs                -------->This one's for Y
__________________                             ________________
0         |          15                                            0            |           60
1          |           20                                           1            |           50
2         |           25                                           2           |            40
3         |            30                                          3           |             30
4         |             35

On the third set, tables help. I'll do the first question in the comments

A bicyclist travels at a constant speed of 12 miles per hour for a total of 45 minutes. (Use set notation for the domain and ran
Mamont248 [21]

A bicyclist travels at a constant speed of 12 miles per hour for a total of 45 minutes.

We know the formula , Distance = speed * time

Speed is constant and it is 12. So it  is linear

The function becomes d = 12t, x is the t is the time and d is the distance

At the starting point, t=0  and distance d=0

End point , t=45 min = 0.75 hours and distance = 12 * 0.75 = 9

So domain (t) is {x|0}

Range (d) is {y|0}

a man invested a total of $3,000 in two investments. he made a profit of 3% on the first investment and 4% on the second investm
klio [65]
Let the first investment be x
and second be 3000-x

so 3%of x + 4% of (3000-x) = 107
By solving x = 1300

First investment is 1300
second investment is 1700

3m - 3 divided by 3 for m=8
KengaRu [80]

Answer:

Either 7 or 23 - read note

Step-by-step explanation:

Substitute m for 8.

*Note: I'm not sure if anything is in parentheses so there are two possible answers depending on whether you want it done left to right or by order of operations*

Left to Right:

3(8) - 3 ÷ 3

24 - 3 ÷ 3

21 ÷ 3

7

Order of Operations:

3(8) - 3 ÷ 3

24 - 3 ÷ 3

24 - 1

23

On a coordinate plane, triangles R S T and L M N are shown. Triangle R S T has points (5, 5), (2, 1), and (1, 3). Triangle L M N
ivolga24 [154]

Answer:

LMN has a larger area

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

RST

R =(5,5)

S= (2,1)

T = (1,3)

LMN

L = (0,-1)

M= (2,-4)

N= (-2,-3)

Required

Compare both areas

The area of triangle is:

Area = \frac{1}{2}|x_1y_2 - x_2y_1 + x_2y_3 - x_3y_2 + x_3y_1 - x_1y_3|

For RST, we have:

Area = \frac{1}{2}|5*1 - 2*5 + 2*3 - 1*1 + 1*5 - 5*3|

Area = \frac{1}{2}|-10|

Remove absolute signs

Area = \frac{1}{2}*10

Area = 10

For LMN, we have:

Area = \frac{1}{2}|x_1y_2 - x_2y_1 + x_2y_3 - x_3y_2 + x_3y_1 - x_1y_3|

Area = \frac{1}{2}|0*-4-2*-1+2*-3--2*-4--2*-1-0*-3|

Area = \frac{1}{2}|-14|

Remove absolute signs

Area = \frac{1}{2}*14

Area = 7

<em>By comparing both areas, we can conclude that LMN has a larger area</em>
