So 6 hours at 4 miles per hour
4 miles per hour means 4 mieles in one hour
6 hours
distance=time times (distance pers unit of time)
distance=6 times 4=24

second day
same number of hours=6
speed=3

distance=time times (distance per units of time)
distance=6 times 3=18

so we add 1 and 2 days together
24+18=42
so he has covered 42 mles
he eed to cover 70
70=42+rest
subtract 42
28=rest

so he traveled 28 miles on third day
in 8 hours
sppeed=distance divided by time
time=8
distance=28
28/8=14/4=7/2=3 and 1/2 miles per hour=3.5 miles per hour

answer is 3.5 miles per hour

Ronald ran 6 laps in 12 minutes. Which ratio can be used to find the number of laps that Ronald ran in 1 minute?
Sergio039 [100]

Answer:

0.5:1

Step-by-step explanation:

laps:minutes

So we can find how much Ronald runs in 2 minutes, by dividing 6:12 (or 6/12) by 6. This will give you 1:2 (One lap = 2 minutes).

But you're looking for 1 minute, so with 1:2, you have to divide them by 1/2, so it will be 0.5:1.

Number 4: is 337.5.
- first we need i\to find how much one case costs. $45/2 = $22.5
- next multiply $22.5 x 15 which gets you $337.50

Number 5: is 65%
- 100% divided by 3,100 is .03225806
- then multiply .023225806 by 1085 which gets you 35%
- but because it is asking for the remaining it is 100% - 35% which is 65%
