Supplementary breast milk is given to babies after babies 6 months of age and over with a gradual texture starting from fine, filtered porridge, pureed porridge, then solid food such as adult food. Complementary food for breast milk is better if it contains 4 stars namely carbohydrates, vegetable protein, animal protein, and vegetables.

Further Explanation

When a baby enters the age of 6 months, he needs more calories than just the nutrition he gets through exclusive breastfeeding. At this age, you can introduce your baby's first solid food.

Feeding is not just filling the baby's stomach with nutritious food, but also provides education about pleasant interactions, stimulation of the sense of taste, fine motor training (moving hands and directing to the mouth that requires good coordination between hands, eyes, and of course, the brain), chewing and discipline.

8 Solid Foods for 6-Month-Old Babies

 1. Cereal
 2. Banana
 3. Sweet Potato
 4. Avocado
 5. Chicken or Beef Meat
 6. Pear
 7. Tofu
 8. Wheat bread

In addition to some of the foods above, introduce other solid foods as well. Of course, the texture must be adjusted to the stage of growth of the baby. Do not forget, introduce food one by one to see what foods cause allergies in children.

In general, the purpose of first feeding for babies from 6 months of age are:

 • Meet the nutritional needs of babies.
 • Develops the baby's ability to accept a variety of foods with different tastes and textures.
 • Develops and trains baby's motor skills such as chewing and swallowing.

Yes you should start to introduce solid food. After 6 months baby nutrition need wouldn't be fulfilled by breast milk only. First food that you can introduce might be better for semisolid food like porridge. Fortification of iron might be good because a baby has high iron need to made red blood cells.

Early toxicologists were at a disadvantage when trying to identify and quantify poisons because they lacked _____.
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer:

(D) sensitive chemical tests and analytical instruments

Explanation:

Toxicology is defined as a science that aims to study the harmful effects arising from chemicals in the body of living beings.

Early toxicologists had archaic chemical tests devoid of any kind of technology, and did not have analytical instruments, or did not have adequate analytical instruments so that they could properly analyze and test the effects of the chemicals. This lack of sensitive equipment and testing has made it difficult to research toxicology in ancient times, but over time, these elements have adapted and met the criteria needed to make toxicology the science we know today.

In ventricular fibrillation, the ventricles twitch randomly instead of beating. This condition causes death within minutes if no
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

Ventricular fibrillation a type of arrhythmia characterized by a very fast heart rate which causes no blood to reach vital organs causing cardiac arrest. While Atrial fibrillation is an atrial tachyarrhythmia characterized by the fact that the atria beat in an uncoordinated way at a very high rate that exceeds 350 beats per minute. As a result, the atria are no longer effective in pumping blood to the ventricles.

Explanation:

Under normal conditions the heart contracts rhythmically and synchronously. This contraction is the result of an electrical impulse that is generated in the atrium, reaches the ventricle and results in a heartbeat. In an arrhythmia there is an alteration of this mechanism that leads to the heart not contracting regularly, generating a rhythm disorder. The contraction of the ventricles pumps blood to the rest of the body. In ventricular fibrillation, the heart rhythm is very fast and chaotic (up to 300 beats per minute) and is characterized by not being able to provoke an efficient heart beat. Thus, the lack of contraction of the ventricles causes the blood to barely be pumped from the heart, producing a collapse of the cardiovascular system and cardiac arrest. Atrial fibrillation is characterized by disorganized and very rapid atrial activity (350-600 beats / min). This leads to an irregular ventricular response (150-200 beats / min) and an irregular pulse.During atrial fibrillation, the atrial contraction that helps fill the ventricles with blood is lost; this can significantly reduce cardiac output, particularly in patients with mitral stenosis, hypertension, or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It is associated with an increased risk of thromboembolism (formation of blood clots in the heart that can dislodge and go through the bloodstream until impacted on the a blood vessel, causing lack of irrigation in that area) and therefore stroke (cerebral thromboembolic accident).
