When finding volume of a cylinder use the formula V=pi r^2h

h=height = 2feet

r=radius = 6feet

V= pi(6)^2(2)

V=226.19

In order to do this find the area of either the base or the top it doesn't matter they're the same (thats just the area of one of the circles) then multiply that by the height so the answer is 226.08

A manufacturing company with 450 employees begins a new product line and must increase their number of employees by 18%. How man
____ [38]

The total employees the company now have is 531.

Solution:

Beginning employees in a company = 450

Percentage of employees increased = 18%

Number of increased employees = 18% of 450

                                                       $=\frac{18}{100}\times 450

                                                       = 81

Total employees = Beginning employees + Increased employees

                            = 450 + 81

                            = 531

The total employees the company now have is 531.

Greg's grocery store placed an order for yogurt. The store ordered 1,020 cartons of yogurt. Each carton ordered was blueberry, P
marin [14]

Answer:

  544

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratios of cartons are ...

  B : P = 2 : 1

  S : L = 2 : 1

  L : B = 2 : 1

Combining these into a single set of ratios, we have ...

  S : L : B : P = 8 : 4 : 2 : 1

Then the proportion of the order that is strawberry is ...

  8/(8+4+2+1) = 8/15

and the number of strawberry cartons is ...

  (8/15)·1020 = 544

The store ordered 544 cartons of strawberry yogurt.

Use the graph to determine the y intercept
mafiozo [28]

Answers:

  • y intercept:  9
  • zeros:  -3, -1, 1, 3

===============================================

Explanation:

The y intercept is where the curve crosses the y axis. The curve appears to do so just below y = 10, so y = 9 seems like a good estimate. I'm basing this off of the answer choices given. The y intercept always occurs when x = 0.

The zeros, aka roots or x intercepts, are where the curve crosses or touches the x axis. This occurs in four locations: x = -3, x = -1, x = 1 and x = 3. The x intercepts always occur when y = 0.
