1st job $8.50 per hour

if h hours is worked per week in the restaurant, hence the total amount in the restaurant

= 8.5*h = 8.5h

For cleaning the house once a week to earn $25

Total from the two jobs = (8.5h + 25)

(h) = (8.5h + 25)

if 12 hours and 45 minutes was scheduled for the week.

h =12 hours 45 minutes;         45 minutes = 3/4 hour = 0.75 hour

h =12 hours 45 minutes = 12 + 0.75 = 12.75  hours.

(h) = (8.5h + 25)            h = 12.75

(h) = (8.5*12.75 + 25)

(h) = (8.5*12.75 + 25) = 108.375 + 25 = 133.375 <span>≈ $133.38

So the answer is option
</span>
<span>d. (ℎ) = 8.5ℎ + 25; $133.38</span>

Hope this explains it.

Jorge walks 1 mile in 1 hour. In 2 hours at the same pace, Jorge can walk____yards so basically how many yards
qaws [65]

Answer:

3,520 yds in 2 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

5,280:1; 1 mile an hour is 5,280 feet in an hour

10,560:2; 2 miles in 2 hours is 5,280+5,280 (10,560) feet in 2 hours

3 ft = 1 yd; every 3 feet is a yard, so divide 10,560 by 3

10,560/3 = 3520 yds; Jorge can walk 3,520 yds in 2 hours

One angle of a right triangle measures 60°. The side opposite this angle measures 15 inches.
Delicious77 [7]

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this question I would use the sin rule.

The sin rule states that

\frac{a}{ \sin(a) }  =  \frac{b}{ \sin(b)  }

Therefore if you substitute in your numbers you get:

\frac{a}{ \sin(90) }  =  \frac{15}{ \sin(60) }

If you rearrange that you get:

a =  \frac{15}{ \sin(60) }  \times  \sin(90)

Therefore a = 17.3 Inches (to 3 sf)

This can also be done with basic trigonometry where you would get

\sin(60)  =  \frac{15}{h}

Rearranging to

h =  \frac{15}{ \sin(60) }

meaning the answer is 13.7 inches

Write an equation in point-slope form of the line through point J(-8,10) with slope -5.
mafiozo [28]
Point-slope form is y - y1 = m(x - x1). If you apply that point and the slope to the formula (hence the name point-slope), you'd get y - 10 = -5(x + 8).

Hope this helps! :)

REVISE: I accidently put y instead of x in the -5(x + 8) part. It's fixed now.

On a map, 1cm represents 65 km. If two cities are 1950 km apart, how many centimeters apart would they be on this map?
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

30 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

We can solve this problem by making a proportion:

1 cm/65 km = x cm/1,950 km

By cross-multiplying, we can solve for x:

65x = 1,950

x = 30
