PEMDAS=
{Parentheses,
Exponents,
Multiply,
Divide,
Add,
Subtract}

1-(1+.08)^-5

So parentheses comes first (1+.08)=1.08

Exponents come next. Negative exponents means it is getting smaller and smaller instead of bigger. (Just put a 1 and divide it by the number to the exponent)

Example: 2^-2 = 1/(2^2) = 1/4
Example2: 3^-4 = 1/(3^4) = 1/81
I'm not good at explaining so those examples are there to explain for me.

Anyways, exponents come next, so you'd take 1.08 (because the exponent is over the parentheses) and would make it like this:

1/(1.08^5)

I don't know what 1.08^5 is, so according to my calculator.. it is 1.4693280768

So 1/1.4693280768

Next is multiplication.
There is no multiplication.

Next is division.
Plug 1/1.4693280768 into your calculator.
You'll get 0.680583197033753

Next is addition.
There is no addition.

Next is subtraction.
1-0.680583197033753=0.319416802966247

You can round that to 0.319 or 0.32
That's how you get your answer

The Truth Table Represents Statement P,Q,R
Darya [45]

Recall that a ⇒ b ≡ ¬a ∨ b.

• r ⇒ (p ∧ q) ≡ ¬r ∨ (p ∧ q)

In row C, q is false so p ∧ q false, and r is true so ¬r is false.

¬r ∨ (p ∧ q) ≡ false ∨ false ≡ false

• r ⇒ (p ∨ q) ≡ ¬r ∨ (p ∨ q) = p ∨ q ∨ ¬r

In each of rows A, C, and E, at least one of p or q is true, so

p ∨ q ∨ ¬r = true

• (q ∧ r) ⇒ p ≡ ¬(q ∧ r) ∨ p ≡ (¬q ∨ ¬ r) ∨ p = p ∨ ¬q ∨ ¬r

In row E, p is false and both q and r are true, so ¬q and ¬r are both false.

false ∨ false ∨ false = false

• (q ∨ r) ⇒ p ≡ ¬(q ∨ r) ∨ p ≡ (¬q ∧ ¬r) ∨ p

In row E, p is false and both q and r are true, so both ¬q and ¬r are false.

(¬q ∧ ¬r) ∨ p ≡ (false ∧ false) ∨ false ≡ false ∨ false ≡ false

90 questions got 18 wrong what's the percent for correct
Anestetic [448]
You divide 18 by 90 and get .2 then multiply it by 100 and get 20. Then you subtract 20 from 100 and get 80. You got 80% correct.

The rate is 320 feet per hour, 320 feethour . The hiking team descended the mountain from 1 pm to 5 pm. The net change is a ____
deff fn [24]

Answer:

The correct answer is "decrease, 1,280 feet".

Step-by-step explanation:

The given values are:

Rate or speed,

= 320 feet per hour

1 pm to 5 pm means,

t = 5 - 1

 = 4 hours

Now,

The net change in distance will be:

⇒  \Delta D=-320\times 4 \ feet

⇒         =-1280 \ feet

Thus the above is the correct approach.
