Still others resolve their crises by adopting an available but socially disapproved ideology. The latter option is called negative formation and is often associated with delinquent behavior.

An ideology is a set of values and beliefs that someone adheres to. Some ideologies are based on negative and anti-social or even discriminatory values and certain adolescent types will be drawn to these ideologies, especially when faced with an identity crisis. This can lead to unhealthy, socially unaccepted and even criminal or violent behaviors.

In “Your Laughter,” the symbol of the blue flower expresses the speaker’s _____.
cluponka [151]

Answer: I do not know if this is a multiple choice question or not, but I would contend that the blue flower is a reference to Neruda's country, Chile.

Explanation: The color blue is part of the flag of Chile. It symbolises, in part, the Pacific Ocean, and I believe that in these lines of his famous poem, the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda was referring to his beloved country, which he had had to abandon due to his political views. He is telling his lover that he wants her laughter like the flower he was waiting for, "the blue flower, the rose of my echoing country." He cannot have his country, but his lover's laughter will bring him the comfort that he needs in these difficult days away from his homeland.

Why do books pages turn yellow or brown when done reading them?
Inga [223]
Books that are surrounded by oxygen will turn yellow, so basically, all books since oxygen is constantly surrounding us. Oxygen-rich conditions are very bad for paper, which gives them the yellow tiny. This is actually called lignin oxidation! Lignin oxidation gives it a yellow or brown colour as you said. Yellow comes first, then brown after.

I hope this helped a bit! :)
