Answer: y=1/2(x)
step by step solution: you are give two points (-1,-2) and (1,2) so we can go ahead and set up our equation in slope-intercept form which is y=mx+b. m is equal to slope so we are going to find the slope first in order to do this we take both of the points given and see how much the rise over run is. (-1,-2) and (1,2) so to go from the first point to the second point you have to rise 2 units and you have to go over 4 units, this means that our rise over run or (slope) is equal to 2/4 but we are gonna simplify this down to 1/2. now we will plug this in to the equation we have set up the outline for. slope is (m) so plug in 1/2 for (m). y=1/2(x)+b. the next step is to find the y-intercept which (b) represents in this equation. in order to find the y-intercept you simply plug in (0) for (x) and solve to find (b). y=1/2(0)+b after you work this out you see that you are left with 0=b so this means that the y-intercept is 0 this means that you don't have to have the +(0) where (b) would be located. therefore your left with the equation y=1/2x. this is your final answer. hope I helped. have a great day!

Brad earns $12.75/hr and works 40 hours a week. What is his gross annual income?
professor190 [17]

Answer:

Gross Annual Income:  $26,520

Step-by-step explanation:

Gross annual income is the amount of money made without any taxes or deductions subtracted from the total. If Brad earns $12.75 per hour and works 40 hours per week, we can first find his weekly income by multiplying the rate by the number of hours per week:

$12.75 x 40 = $510.00

Since Brad earns $510 per week and there are 52 weeks in one year, we can find his gross annual income again by multiply the weekly rate ($510) by the number of weeks in a year (52):

$510 x 52 = $26,520

What is the value of y to find the angles
Lorico [155]
A triangles degrees add up to 180.
well first 180-138 for angle u which is 42

then do 42+(6y-2)+(8y+14)=180

solve for y.

42+(6y-2)+(8y+14)=180

42+6y-2+8y+14=180
54+14y=180
-54            -54
14y=126
/14      /14
y=9

Given the net of the rectangular prism, what is its surface area?
Llana [10]

Answer:

S.A. = 66m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Look at the picture.

We have :

4 rectangles 3m × 4m → A₁ = 3 · 4 = 12 m²

2 rectangles 3m × 3m → A₂ = 3 · 3 = 9 m²

Therefore the Surface Area of the rectangular prism is:

S.A. = 4A₁ + 2A₂

Substitute:

S.A. = 4(12) + 2(9) = 48 + 18 = 66
