1.   have your number line. number it from left to right 1, 2 , 3 , 4, 5 and so on. Then put a circle over 3 that is filled in because this sign means that x can be equal to 3. A not filled in circle means that x cannot be equal to 3. Then think. Is the sign menaing that x is less than or greater than 3. If it is greater than draw a squiggly line to the right. If it is less than draw a line to the left (starting from 3) Hope this helps with question 1.

Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

\frac{1}{12}X

Step-by-step explanation:

Let X is the number of hours Larry works a day

Given:  Larry spends half of his workday teaching piano lessons.

=> Number of hours he teaches piano a day is: \frac{1}{2}X

As we know that, he has 6 students, so the fraction of his workday is spent with each student is:

\frac{1}{2}X : 6

= \frac{1}{12}X

Hope it will find you well during the time of isolation.

Suppose there are signs on the doors to two rooms. The sign on the first door reads "In this room there is a lady, and in the ot
9966 [12]

Answer:

The lady is on the second door

Step-by-step explanation:

we have that

The sign on the first door reads "In this room there is a lady, and in the other one there is a tiger"

The sign on the second door reads "In one of these rooms, there is a lady, and in one of them there is a tiger."

so

The sign on the second door is true

The sign on the first door is true or false

Since one of these signs is true and the other is false, the sign in the first door must be false

therefore

The lady is on the second door

Michelle's mother bought 7 large pizzas for her birthday party. Each large pizza is cut into eighths. if 5/8 of the total slices
nirvana33 [79]
So we know that there are 8 slices per large pizza (7), so a total of 56 slices
we would set up a proportion
5/8=x/56
8 times 7 gives you 56, and we would do that same thing to the 5 (multiply it by 7) to get 35?
so now we know that 35 out of 56 slices were eaten
56-35 is 21
so there are 21 slices left over
