The Executive Office of the President consists of the immediate staff of the President of the U. S., and the support staff that reports to him and the <em>White House Chief of Staff.</em> They have been handling some issues that beforehand were part of the members of the cabinet functions. That is why the Executive Office has increased his importance nowadays.

On the other hand, the importance of the Cabinet has diminished a little bit in some responsibilities. The Cabinet is an advisory body comprised of the head members of the 15 executive departments. Usually, the Cabinet’s members are people close to the President. Among others, they are the Vice President, Speaker of the House, the Secretaries and the Attorney General.
