Even function :-     f(x) = f(-x)

Odd function:-       f(-x) = -f(x)

F(x)   = -4^3 + 4x

-F(x) =  -(-4^3 + 4x)  = 4^3 - 4x

F(-x)  = -4^3 + 4(-x)  =   -4^3 - 4x

neonofarm [45]

Answer:

The correct value of the Z-statistic is z = -1.56

Step-by-step explanation:

A company manufacturing computer chips finds that 8% of all chips manufactured are defective.

This means that the null hypothesis is:

H_{0}: p = 0.08

A hypothesis test is performed to determine if the additional training was effective in lowering the defect rate.

This means that the alternate hypothesis is:

H_{a}: p < 0.08

z-statistic:

z = \frac{X - \mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}}

In which X is the sample mean, \mu is the value tested at the null hypothesis, \sigma is the standard deviation and n is the size of the sample.

0.08 is tested at the null hypothesis:

This means that \mu = 0.08, \sigma = \sqrt{0.08*0.92}

After training was implemented, a sample of 450 chips revealed only 27 defects.

This means that n = 450, X = \frac{27}{450} = 0.06

The correct value of the Z-statistic is

z = \frac{X - \mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}}

z = \frac{0.06 - 0.08}{\frac{\sqrt{0.08*0.92}}{\sqrt{450}}}

z = -1.56

1) Write in the formula. What equals the perimeter P of the rectangle wich is 25 cm wide. (show the length with the letter b.) 2
Galina-37 [17]

Answer:

1)P = 2 x(L+l) = 2 x (25+L)

2) Maintaing L= 25 cm

P= 2x (25+45) = 140 cm²

P= 2x (25+0,25m) =2x(25+25)= 100 cm²

P= 2x (25+650 mm) =2x(25+65)= 180 cm²

d) ambigous

P= 2x (25+3dm) = 2x (25+30)=110 cm²

PLEASE HELP ASAP MATH!!! :(
Artemon [7]

1) What transformation takes the graph of f(x)=4x+9 to the graph of g(x)=4x+7 ?

Both have same slope = 4

f(x)=4x+9 , y - intercept b = 9

g(x)=4x+7, y - intercept b = 7; 2 units down from f(x)

Answer

translation 2 units down

2) The graph of function g is a vertical stretch of the graph of function f by a factor of 3.

Which equation describes function g?

Vertically stretch | a |  > 1

Stretch by factor of 3 so f(x) = 3f(x)

Answer

g(x) = 3f(x)
