Ambiguity is a type of meaning in which several interpretations are plausible. A common aspect of ambiguity is uncertainty. It is thus an attribute of any idea or statement whose intended meaning cannot be definitively resolved according to a rule or process with a finite number of steps. The concept of ambiguity is generally contrasted with vagueness. In ambiguity, specific and distinct interpretations are permitted (although some may not be immediately obvious), whereas with information that is vague, it is difficult to form any interpretation at the desired level of specificity. so guys i choose sentence 4 to be corrected as it totally clears the meanings of ambiguity..

the ambiguity of the witnesses description led the police to capture the jewels.

I believe the answer to this question would be "Chad’s ambiguity when answering questions during his presentation led the teacher to believe he was unprepared." Because the definition of ambiguity is "Doubtfulness or uncertainty of meaning or intention; unclear or indefinite." And if Chad was Doubtful then that would make the teacher think he is unprepared for his test.

I hope this helped have a nice day!

What are the loosely packed photosynthetic cells in the leaf called? A. epidermis B. guard cells C. spongy mesophyll D. palisade
Karolina [17]

Answer: Option C

Explanation:

These cells are soft because of its function. Gaseous exchange takes place by the help of these cells. Spongy mesophyll cells are covered by thin layer of water and are loosely packed.

This is because, during the day time when the plant is performing photosynthesis these cells allows the carbon dioxide into the mesophyll cells and the oxygen out of the plant body.

Groundwater helps to replenish our freshwater lakes and rivers. In two or more complete sentences, describe a source of contamin
Viefleur [7K]

The agriculture is one of the biggest contaminators of the groundwater. The contamination happens through the usage of chemicals in the agriculture for protection of the plants, or to encourage their growth. Part of those chemicals mange to wash through the soil and reach the groundwater. The majority of the groundwater is connected with the lakes and the rivers, thus the chemicals reach those waters as well. This makes these waters unusable for the humans because they are becoming toxic. The end result would be much less freshwater for usage, be it fro drinking, or for housework, as it can cause serious damage and even death if used, so a shortage of water would be inevitable.
