Hello Ramirez,

I assume that you meant to put parenthesis around the entire expression for the denominator: (x^3 - 4x).

If so, then you would have a hole wherever the denominator is zero, because it would be undefined.

So let's factor: x^3 - 4x
First factor out an x to get x(x^2 - 4).
Then, we have the difference of squares, so we can factor it to: x(x+2)(x-2)

If we set that equal to zero, there are 3 possible solutions.

0, 2, and -2

These inputs would make the denominator zero and you would have a hole on your graph.

I hope this helps,

How many solutions are there to the equation below ? 8x+47 =8 (x+5)
Rainbow [258]

First, distribute the right side.

8*(x + 5) = 8x + 40

Then, we write the whole equation:

8x + 47 = 8x + 40

Looking at it, we can subtract 8x from both sides, so that we're left with:

47 = 40

However, we obviously know that 47 is NOT equal to 40, so there is no solution for this equation.

Answer:

Onaje is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

To start, total up how many shirts we have, and multiply them by t. Since they are the same price, we now have a total for how many shirts they bought. This proves the second and third equations that they wrote. If you take the easy way and just add them, you'll still have 25t, making Onaje's expression correct.

EDIT: Just saw you need why it's incorrect for Paula, just hold on.

So for Paula, it's simple why she is incorrect. If you look at the third equation she wrote, she's adding 25 to 2t, which is completely incorrect, and will come up with a different result than 16t + 9t.

Hope this helps.

Neporo4naja [7]

28 + 53 = 81.

180 - 81 = 99.

Your missing length is 99 degrees.

( Just remember that all triangles add up to 180 degrees )
