The formula for unit rate is blank over blank = x over one. She types 496 words in 8 minutes, otherwise said "496 words per 8 minutes", which means its 496 over 8. If you do cross multiplication, 496*1 = 496 (Obviously) and 8*x = 8x.

Now, you have 496 = 8x. To isolate the variable, do the opposite of what it says 8x divided by 8 = x. Of course, you have to do the same thing on both sides. 496 divided by 8 is 62. so the unit rate is 62 words per minute.

The graph of f(t) = 6 x 2^t shows the value of a rare coin in year t. What is the meaning of the y-intercept?
Flauer [41]
When the graph intersects the y-axis, it means it's x-coordinate is 0, or t = 0.
Hence, f(t) = 6 × 2^0 = 6.
y = 6 at y-intercept.

What is the slope of a line passing through (7, 6) and (9, 0)?
r-ruslan [8.4K]
Slope is equal to rise over run. For this question we use 0-6=-6 as the numerator and 9-7=2 as the denominator, thus the slope is -6/2=-3

which of the following sets could be the sides of a right triangle? {2,3, square root 13} {5,5,2 square root 10} {5,12,15}
anastassius [24]

All of these sets meet the requirements of the triangle inequality. The sum of any two numbers in the set is greater than the third one. (You really only need to check that the sum of the smallest two is greater than the largest.)

It can help to resolve the numbers that are only indicated as to value.

√13 ≈ 3.606

2√10 ≈ 6.325

_____

Your comparisons can be ...

2 + 3 = 5 > 3.606 . . . is a triangle

5 + 5 = 10 > 6.325 . . . . . . is a triangle

5 + 12 = 17 > 15 . . . . . . . . is a triangle

Which of the following steps indicates the addition property of equality while solving the equation –1 – 6x = x – 15? Question 4
den301095 [7]

Answer:

B) -1-6 x +15 = x - 15 +15

Step-by-step explanation:

Explanation:-

Given equation is  –1 – 6 x = x – 15

By addition property of equality

                        ⇒     - 1 - 6 x + 15 = x - 15 +15

                      ⇒      - 6 x + 14  = x

subtracting 'x' on both sides ,we get

                       ⇒      - 6 x -x +14 =0

                        ⇒      - 7 x +14 =0

                         ⇒      -7 x = - 14

   Dividing '-7' on both sides , we get

                                 x  = 2

The solution of given equation is x = 2
