Depends on your views. However as a British citizen hehe...

False, they were well trained. To be honest anyone can see they are very well trained. The SAS is most commonly known as <em>the</em> most dangerous special ops team in the world; and as shown in WWII our RAF and Naval power was far superior. Although now a country like America may overpower us that is because of numbers, we have a far more rigorous training program that certainly makes the troops more effective in combat.
