Answer:

The correct answer would be the third option.

The fungus refers to the member of a group of eukaryotic organisms which involve yeast, molds, and mushrooms.

They consist of different parts such as mycelium, fruiting body, spores, and stolons.

Mycelium refers to the network of hyphae. It is usually present below the soil and helps in obtaining nutrient from decayed organic matter.

Stolon refers to the hyphae which connect groups of sporangiophores and rhizoids. It is usually present above the soil or surface.

The fruiting body refers to which is involved in the production of spores. Spores help in the reproduction of fungus.

Why virus, virions, prions have no place in five kingdom classification
Ainat [17]

Hey, there!!

There is no place for virus, virions, prions in kungdom classification. The reason is they show both living and non living characters, which don't define them whether they are living beings or non living things.

As in 5 kingdoms, the only living organisms are classified.

  • Kingdom Monera mostly deals with the organism which contains prokaryotic cells.
  • Kingdom Protista deals with the organism which have eukaryotic cells.
  • Kingdom Fungi deals with various fungal organism.
  • Kingdom Plantae deals with various type of plants.
  • Kingdom Animalia deals with various type of animals.

So, you can see that there is non of the kingdoms which deals with the organism which have similar characteristics like viruses, virions and prions.

What is the function of the phytoplankton in ocean ecosystems?--- A. producer B. consumer C. scavenger D. decomposer
Elodia [21]

The right answer is A. producer.

Phytoplankton are all cyanobacteria and microalgae (microscopic plants) present in surface waters and drifting with the currents. Unknown because invisible to the naked eye, phytoplankton is the lung of our planet. Thanks to photosynthesis, it produces more than half of the Earth's oxygen and consumes half of the carbon dioxide. Phytoplankton is essential for marine life because it is also at the base of the ocean food chain.

What cardiovascular disease creates a large number of abnormal white blood cells
Nookie1986 [14]

Normally, people produce about 100 billion white blood cells a day. ... However, an increase in the number of white blood cells is also caused by cancers of the bone marrow (such as leukemia) or by the release of immature or abnormal white blood cells from the bone marrow into the blood.
