Answer:

William needs to find a balance between his professional and personal life.

Explanation:

William is investing a lot in his working life because he believes that this will increase his salary and provide a more comfortable life for his family. However, William's overwork has caused an imbalance in his personal life and has made his family uncomfortable as he has no time for his wife and children.

Even with the salary increase, both William himself and his family will be unhappy because they do not spend a good time together doing some activity that brings them closer. On the contrary, William has been moving his family away more and more.

For this reason, in order to achieve a "right livelihood," William will need to strike a balance between his work life and his personal life. William's salary is important to his family's happiness, but so is his presence.

Why were black codes created?
Solnce55 [7]

Answer:

The Black Codes sometimes called Black Laws, where laws governing the conduct of African Americans. The best known of them was passed in 1865 and 1866 by Southern states, after the American Civil War, in order to restrict African Americans' freedom and to compel them to work for low wages. Although Black Codes existed before the Civil War and many Northern states had them, it was the Southern U.S. states that codified such laws in everyday practice. In 1832, James Kent wrote that "in most of the United States, there is a distinction in respect to political privileges, between free white persons and free colored persons of African blood; and in no part of the country do the latter, in point of fact, participate equally with the whites, in the exercise of civil and political rights."

Hope this helps!
