Answer:

Chlorophyll is the pigment which is green in color. The main function of the chlorophyll is to convert the light energy to chemical energy by absorbing the light and providing energy for carrying on photosynthesis.

Chloroplasts are considered as important organelles present in the Algal and plant cells. Due to chlorophyll pigment present in the chloroplast, it is also green in colour. Chloroplast provides space to carry out both light reaction and dark reaction of photosynthesis.

Arrange the steps of photosynthesis Reorder answers 1.Chlorophyll absorbs light. Reorder answers 2.Water split to start electron
Shalnov [3]

Answer:

1. Chlorophyll absorbs light

2. Water split to start electron transport chain

3. ATP produced

4. ATP used to build glucose form carbon dioxide

Explanation:

Photosynthesis is the process whereby green plants synthesize their food (glucose) in the presence of sunlight. This photosynthetic process occurs in two major stages viz: light dependent and light independent phases.

In the light dependent phase, the following occurs sequentially:

- Chlorophyll absorbs light energy from sun

- The energy is used to split water molecule in a process called PHOTOLYSIS OF WATER in order to start electron transport chain.

- The electron transport chain yields ATP and NADPH, which will be used in the next phase.

In the light independent phase, also called, CALVIN CYCLE, ATP is used to power the formation of glucose from carbon dioxide
