Help me please
write a letter to your friend about important of reading books?
Margaret [11]

Answer:

What I would write:

Explanation:

Dear Friend,

I know that you have not known the importance of reading books, so I’m gonna tell you. The importance of it is the knowledge you get (and of course how fast you will get by reading). It can help you with different sorts, like for example: When you wanted to cook something perfect, and in the internet, it’s not that good, you can find other cool recipes in books. Another example is: You’re being soooooooo bored, that you have nothing to do. You can read a book, or make your own! Books are full of creativity and imagination, but if you can’t find it, then look for it ;) . Reading books can also be good for your health too. It is good for your eyes, and makes your mouth and brain read it faster after you read a bunch of books. I was like you too. I used to HATE book a lot, that I’ve never even read a book at home and sometimes at school. Then, someone told me to experiment reading. My first book I’ve ever read and think deep about it was an ordinary kids book. Now, I’ve been addicted to reading books, that I’ve read 347 books virtually and never ending books in real life. Currently, I’m reading a book now, so I’ve hope you learned the importance of reading books. Hope you have a nice day :).

                                                                                Sincerely, Your good friend ;)

Read the excerpt from We Shall Not Be Moved.
sleet_krkn [62]

Answer:

A careful rereading of this excerpt would help a reader understand the "League" mentioned in the first sentence because:

C. The reader could make the connection between the “League” and the third sentence, which explains that they “organized strikes in the garment trade.”

Explanation:

According to the third line of the excerpt, the League had organized strikes in the garment trade. This same League, according to the first and second lines, had organized a new event and was surprised at the turnout of so many people now - so many that the speakers uses the word "army" to help readers visualize it. From that, we can infer that the League refers to a group of people who helped coordinate and organize protests and sit-ins in the pursuit of equality during the Civil Rights Movement.

Regan likens the transitioning process to a butterfly's metamorphosis. How else is Luna like a butterfly? Does this metaphor wor
Degger [83]

Luna shows herself as a butterfly because she needs to free herself from the "cocoons" that hold her. This metaphor extends throughout the book, as it takes her to muster up the courage to open these cocoons throughout the story.

What are the cocoons that hold Luna?

  • The family.
  • The society.
  • The insecurity.
  • The fear.
  • The lack of courage.

Luna is a transgender girl who is still finalizing her transition to the female gender. This transition is what allows her to be compared to a butterfly, through metaphors that show that in addition to transition, she must break her cocoons, that is, leave behind everything that prevents her from being free.
