In this poem, the author warns "Helen Grey" or being overly confident. The author tells her that she is loved now, but that she should not take too much comfort on that. She is beautiful, but she should not be overly proud, as in time, old age will come and men will forget about her. Therefore, she should not be so arrogant, and she should instead appreciate what she has now. The lines in bold emphasize the idea of being careful that you are not in the way of your own happiness.

Which of the following statements is a hyperbole?
Masteriza [31]

There are two out of the 4 that would be considered a hyperbole.

A. He was as strong as a bull

This would be considered a hyperbole because of the overexaggeration.

C. I am so hungry; I could eat a horse.

This is also an overexaggeration making this an ecample of a hyperbole.

Which statement reflects the structural-functional approach to the issue of gender roles?
Lemur [1.5K]
As you may already know, societies around the world of all ranges of economical power continue to have certain predetermined expectations of citizens depending on their gender, which rules out the first option. The fact that the presence and misuse of gender exists in almost every society around the world, regardless of their economical sources and development (agrarian or not), means that option D would be equally insufficient. That leaves us with options B and C, which seem to represent the arguments for and against the continuation of gender roles in modern societies. Since the structural-functional theory defends stability, both options could be use in defense of a system that creates such, or against a norm that challenges such.
