Answer:

It demonstrates how social media has the capacity  to spread information faster than traditional outlets.

Explanation:

The above is the way this passage develop the overall claim about  social media and the spread of information.

From the given passage, we can see that the death of Whitney Houston was first published on Twitter before AP could confirm the story. This actually shows that social media has the capacity to disseminate information faster than traditional outlets. This is so because a vast number of people are on social media and can easily access information faster than from traditional platforms.

The use of tagging and hashtags are avenues provided by social media in order to get information across to audience faster.

Momaday discusses the “irony” of the term “New World” (pars. 3–4). What are his reasons for this characterization?
GREYUIT [131]

Answer: N. Scott Momaday - who is a native American himself - finds ironic that white people claimed that they were arriving into the "new world" when in reality there were ancient civilizations already living on those lands, and this claim is one that they have continued to sustain up to this day.

When Europeans arrived in 1492, there were very large Indian populations scattered all across America with a rich history and culture, an element that vastly defers the logic of the discovery of a "new world".

What idea is being emphasized with the repetition? How does the use of repetition make it more clear?
GarryVolchara [31]
When repetition is being used in a passage, the author wants you to know that whatever being repeated is a main point, a key in understanding, or the point of a concept. If something is being repeated in a question, that can help you deceiver what the question is asking, or any clues given.

I hope this helped you.

How do you use verisimilitude in a sentence?
Ivanshal [37]
It is full of his peculiar verisimilitude and has all the interest of Anson's or Dampier's voyages, with a charm of style superior to even that of the latter.
