Answer:Since you can't do anything about these risk factors, it's even more important that you manage your risk factors that can be changed.

   Increasing Age. ...

   Male gender. ...

   Heredity (including race) ...

   Tobacco smoke. ...

   High blood cholesterol. ...

   High blood pressure. ...

   Physical inactivity. ...

   Obesity and being overweight.

Explanation:

You may be born with certain risk factors that cannot be changed. The more of these risk factors you have, the greater your chance of developing coronary heart disease. Since you can’t do anything about these risk factors, it’s even more important that you manage your risk factors that can be changed.

Increasing Age

The majority of people who die of coronary heart disease are 65 or older. While heart attacks can strike people of both sexes in old age, women are at greater risk of dying (within a few weeks).

Male gender

Men have a greater risk of heart attack than women do, and men have attacks earlier in life.

Even after women reach the age of menopause, when women’s death rate from heart disease increases, women’s risk for heart attack is less than that for men.

Heredity (including race)

Children of parents with heart disease are more likely to develop heart disease themselves.

Patricia is a five-year-old girl. She prefers to stay in her room. She refuses to play and cries often. She also has some bruise
amm1812

Your answer is Abuse.

Kid's that are young normally play often, and never refuses to play. Young kids are also happy. So, knowing that she isn't playing, and she's crying is a major indication something is going on. Kid's do get bruises from falling outside, but knowing she isn't playing somone would have caused the bruise's. So knowing all this, I can conclude that Patricia is being abused.

Sandra is experiencing hyperthermia. What is her body most likely using to return to its normal temperature?
vesna_86 [32]

Answer:

sweat and vasodilation

Explanation:

Hyperthermia is when the body is too hot. (Not to be confused with hypothermia, when the body in too cold).

When we sweat, we are releasing moisture, like little bits of water, onto our skin. The water uses up heat energy from the body to evaporate. Because the body loses heat energy, it cools.

Vasodilation is when blood vessels widen. When this happens, the blood vessels are closer to the surface of the skin, allowing heat to escape through and exit the body.

Shivering and vasoconstriction would help to keep a person warm. Shivering makes the muscles on the body move, which increases heat. (Think of exercise, but on a small scale).

Vasoconstriction keeps blood vessels away from the surface of the skin.
