Okay, so the Civil Rights movement has been going on for about a decade by the time the 1960's roll around... and people are tired of not seeing any real results. In the '50's Civil Rights are protested peacefully and the movement is led in part by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Now, don't get me wrong, MLK Jr. still led the movement in the '60's but he was shot in 1968, which led to riots among African American communities around the nation. When people realized that peaceful protests maybe weren't the way to go, more  violent leaders and organizations came bout. For example, Malcolm X was the leader of the Nation of Islam and he had radical ideas such as that blacks were the superior race and so they should separate from the white people and not try to gain equality. The Black Panther Party was developed, and members dressed in all black with leather jackets and carried guns. Their goal was to fight police brutality in African American neighborhoods and they would use violence if necessary.

What happened after the lonian revolt that led to the first battle of the Persian Wars?
harina [27]

Answer:

The Ionian revolt led to

Leonidas marched his army to meet Xerxes I at Thermopylae

Explanation:

The army of Xerxes 1 had been near Sparta and there was little support that they had gathered for themselves in these trying times.

Thus there was need for a great fight to be put up to stop the Persian onslaught of the Spartans who had come there to fight them and had stalled their progress enough to gather the soldiers for the war. This has been the case in the first Persian invasion that had in this case largely failed and it did succeed in the later attempts.

What was the motivation for African Americans moving west
WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

More land for themselves and hope for freedom

Explanation:

As most of American history experienced racism or slavery. many of african americans wanted to get out of the unfair system. the only option was to get out of the areas with racist white majority which only pointed them west. also since the colonial era, most of the east coast was already owned by wealthy plantation owners, farmers and such that in order to find land for the mostly broke african Americans, they had to become the frontiersmen and find new men themselves. p.s. it would be great if you could also include a specific time period as it would narrow the reasons down
