Next, you would have to plug in the coordinates. 
$\frac{6 - 2}{9 + 7}$

Now, all you would have to do is solve and simplify it. 
$\frac{6 - 2}{9 + 7}$= $\frac{4}{16}$ = $\frac{1}{4}$

The slope would be  $\frac{1}{4}$.
