Part: Billy rented a canoe at $14 for two hours. If he rents the same canoe for 5 hours, he has to pay a total rent of $29. Writ

e an equation in STANDARD form (Ax + By = C) to represent the total rent (y) that Billy has to pay for renting the canoe for x hours.
Part B: Write the equation obtained in Part A using function notation.

Part C: Descrive the steps to graph the equation obtained above on the coordinate axes. Mention the labels on the axes and the intervals.

A.
so we are given 2 points, (2,14) and (5,29)
we will use slope intercept form then convert to standard form
y=mx+b
m=slope
b=y intercept

first find slope
slope between the points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
so
slope
(2,14) and (5,29)
slope=(29-14)/(5-3)=15/3=5
y=5x+b
find b
use a point
(2,14)
x=2 and y=14
14=5(2)+b
14=10+b
4=b

so
y=5x+4 is da equation
standard form, solve for ax+by=c
5x-y=-4

B.
that is solve for y and replace y with f(x)
y=5x+4
f(x)=5x+4

C.
one way is to subsitute points
when x=0, y=4
when x=1, y=9
graph theh points (0,4) and (1,9)
maybe graph the intercepts
x intercept is (-5/4,0)
y intercept is (0,4)
